Introducing my Next Fabric Collection, Arid Oasis!

Today is the first day of Riley Blake Designs’ Virtual Quilt Market, Sew Much Fun, and I’m so excited to introduce you to my second fabric collection, Arid Oasis! Arriving in September of 2022, Arid Oasis is a collection of 21 prints (seven unique patterns in three colorways) and is available for pre-order now.

There are three beautiful quilt patterns that you can pre-order with the collection included in the storyboard. The quilt in the photos is called Cactus by Ivory Spring (you can also purchase the pattern on its own on Ivory Spring’s Etsy shop), which Riley Blake specially digitally printed as a sample panel for me, so that I could show it to all of you for Virtual Quilt Market. Once the colors are finalized, the actual fabric that you’ll see in stores will be even more vibrant, beautiful, and crisp!

I live and grew up in Northern California, which if you don’t know, is very hilly and full of forests, but I frequently take trips to deserty Southern California and have been to Arizona only once, but that one trip when I was twelve left a huge impression on me. I love all things desert, cacti, succulent, and Southwest (and plan to take more trips there as soon as I can). Deserts are magical places, especially at twilight and in the early morning, and I tried to capture even just a fraction of that magic in these patterns.

I made a video about the collection that went live over on the Sew Much Fun Facebook event page earlier today, but I thought I’d share it here as well. :D
